Gerry Knight - at a glance!

Gerry started painting at a very early age and as she states herself “It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do”. She proudly produced her first oil painting at the age of thirteen, with a set of oils given as a Christmas gift by her parents. She pursued this compulsion for art throughout her education; T.O.P art at RMIT, followed by a year of Graphic Design. However painting was first and foremost in her mind and this culminated in the completion of a degree in fine Art at R.M.I.T.

Gerry continued to paint throughout the following years and had two exhibitions and a number of commissions. She also produced a series of art cards sold at various boutique outlets throughout Melbourne. Her work is held here in private collections and overseas, notably the U.S.A., and has also featured in the Age Newspaper and the Caulfield, Frankston and Mornington Leader. (...)
